The Corban Creative Quarter is recognised as a unique and vital heritage precinct for Waitākere City. Sitting on the site of the former Corban Family Wine Estate, the winery buildings and family homestead have been successfully re-purposed as arts facilities for the community and local artists.
Working in association with Urbanismplus, we planned the new Unitec Design School and Performing Arts Campus intended to form the artistic and educational centre for Waitakere City.
The Campus would contribute an integral part of the urban fabric of Henderson, incorporating retail, cafes, exhibition space, performing arts centre, faculty teaching facilities, city museum, street networks, infrastructure, parking and residential accommodation.
The work of Bossley Architects has been completed to a high standard and on time and budget. They worked well with the various client groups and other consultants and showed initiative in driving the project forward. I would have no hesitation in appointing them again in the future.
