Bossley Architects and Lab-Works Architecture were engaged to modernise and to consolidate the laboratories, offices and classroom facilities on Levels 2 and 3 of the Aghort Building in Palmerston North.
These functions were spread out around the two floors as well as the Science Tower, creating inefficiencies and potential risks of lab materials and personnel traversing non-laboratory areas. Working closely with University staff, a layout was devised that successfully addressed preferred office types and the most efficient Laboratory space to be consolidated on Level 3.
