Bossley Architects is committed to the development of an urban design approach to town-planning and site masterplanning. We are signatories to the NZ Urban Design Protocol and members of the Urban Design Forum. On all of our projects, and especially on large masterplanning projects such as Lakeview in Queenstown and the Corbans Estate in Waitakere City we incorporate good urban design objectives. These include understanding the project as part of a larger context, developing local networks and linkages, respecting appropriate issues of scale and building massing, and searching for innovative responses.
We aim to create distinctive and safe places combined with efficient movement systems, which respect and enhance the client and community objectives and economic imperatives, to ensure the delivery of pragmatically sustainable environments.
